[ANIME] Fafner In The Azure -EXODUS- Cast Announcement!

The first set of voice actors for the new Fafner series have been announced. Fafner In The Azure -EXODUS- will follow on from Fafner In The Azure which had a 26 episode series that broadcast all the way back in 2004.

Kensho Ono (小野 賢章) who can be noted for being the voice of Tetsuya Kuroko in Kuroko's Basketball, Nobunaga Shimazaki (島﨑 信長) who voiced Haruka Narase in Free!, and Yui Ishikawa (石川 由依) who was Mikasa Ackerman in Attack On Titans, will make up the three main characters, with Ono and Shimazaki being there from episode one.

Produced by Xebec, Noboyoshi Habara (羽原信義) will be returning to direct the new series, and if you haven't seen the first series, he's got a massive back catalogue of popular anime you've probably seen, including Haiyoru Nyaruko-san!, Lagrange: The Flower of Rin-ne and Zoids (please tell me you're old enough to remember that).

The original series was about a group of kids who pilot mechs called 'Fafners' in a war against aliens. Yeah it's not the most eye catching storyline, but the series did well enough to be able to release a film back in 2010 before the production of this new series.

It's not being released until January 2015, but you can check out the second PV below.
